in like 2005 (AOL days when chain emails were big) i created my own chain email (typed FW: FW in subject) that was so stupid & obvious i wrote it & sent it to my whole family & when they asked me about the email i wrote, i said "actually a bunch of my friends sent that to me" 🤕

A lot of the challenges FB is facing are hardly new and could easily have been predicted / prevented. AOL went through this at scale. - they had a dedicated privacy and security team to look at new products for holes. - they has content moderators exposed to worst of society

@Lilly like my best days online in terms of experience were with AOL in 2000 i used to have like 6 chat windows open talking to 6 girls at a time like that was cool it was never better than instant messenger in my opinion
