I love Apple products and always will but I crack up when a new iOS comes out and they change like the size of the font in the draft folder of your aol email that dates 1995 and earlier and people lose their shit thinking it’s genius will.

The most terrifying mask in horror history? The production designer on the original Halloween had a tiny budget and grabbed a William Shatner (Captain Kirk) mask off a shelf, spray-painted it white, and cut out the eyes. (aol) Michael Myers has been scaring the world for 45+ years… wearing Captain Kirk's face.

@GoodBadFlicks I've worked for several ISP's—AOL, Prodigy, MSN plus eBay; never had a single official meeting that was worth a damn. Had one unofficial meeting with an AOL veteran at Denny's after work that was very enlightening, worth a year of training in letting me know how the company really worked.

@a69774 @jeremykauffman @HarrisonHSmith The DNS A-root was there (now it's anycasted). That was why one of the first network interconnects was built there. Then that was why Amazon built us-east-1 there. AOL built there because of that first interconnect.

@Smirkley This is like valuing AOL at the top of the dotcom bubble. Things will settle down from the hype cycle & we will be able to accurately estimate the value of AI. But, not at the moment. This is just a spurious analysis based on the top of the bubble.

@mjmarquardt @Lauderdale11 Could’ve swore in the documentary of WCW’s death they said one of reasons was when they made money, AOL spent it on other areas. Bad decisions was the other reason.
