Give it up #NFLNetwork - awful broadcast. Commentators 👎 and the same 4 commercials in each break. For those savvy people, they blocked the ability to direct the sound to the HonePod. Short sightedness is what ended Blockbuster and AOL. Time to put the viewers first #nfl

@ThinkingSapien @checkmatestate Zeran argues §230 doesn't apply to AOL because they are neither a publisher nor a platform (provider of an interactive computer service), but a distributor, so not relevant. The court asserts distributors (platforms) are a subset of publishers with 230 protections, a distinction.

@gerryconway Ironic that another of the worst deals ever was AOL and Time Warner.

Every deal involving #TimeWarner is the worst deal ever. Remember #AOL. Tis company is the champion of destruction of value. Not a single divisoon has competent management and their CEOs are notoriously inept.

@tznkai I don’t know you but we have interacted and follow some of the same people. I am old enough to dimly remember punch cards and to have participated in listservs. I was never an aol fan but communities I found on Yahoo Groups saved me when I had small children and a

@Tazerface16 No problem. Getting used to it myself, trying to do some of the heavy ifting so others don't have to. Remember when AOL was a closed system, no email outside AOL. Mastodon is like getting a dialup with and isp and you can email to anyone during that same time.

  • treewizard0 Al Fons (@treewizard0) reported

Just tried to recover my password with @AOL but that’s a “premium account feature” and wont let me unless i pay. What premium? You have a B class email service. You are the creepy uncle at Thanksgiving that no one wants to sit next to. Pay for account recovery? What a joke

  • gingahbeard_man Adam Carpenterr (@gingahbeard_man) reported

@Xfinity is probably the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I would suggest going to any other provider than them. AOL dialup was better than this.

  • bdanks Brad Danks (@bdanks) reported

@VassB Yes. It’s interesting that the two worst mergers in the business both involved WB. This one and the AOL merger in 2001.
