After much mediation and soul searching, I figured out what my New Years resolution for online stuff is... get better at replying to messages on Twitter, Instagram and Discord. I have not seen so many messages not replied to since I checked my AOL in 10th grade...7k email!

@jacknicas @MikeIsaac 1 more thought, even before the Web online services grappled with whether to allow the number 1 "app" porn to be carried across their services. AOL, Compuserve did well by never allowing porn. Private Business can always make their own rules of who to serve. No shirt, no service

@Humanstein I found a paperback copy of The Straight Dope in a Books-A-Million around 1998, and I joined the SDMB in 98 or 99, after they moved from AOL to the web. It looks like my login doesn’t work on the current version of the board, though.
