After much mediation and soul searching, I figured out what my New Years resolution for online stuff is... get better at replying to messages on Twitter, Instagram and Discord. I have not seen so many messages not replied to since I checked my AOL in 10th grade...7k email!

@AOLSupportHelp Lies. Your spam filter is learning NOTHING. Half of what's in spam are IMPORTANT emails I'm missing. I don't even know WHEN to check spam since you refuse to have an unread mail indicator next to spam. Clearly this isn't a problem you have the brains to solve. Leaving for gmail.

@DoyerGil @Jdub_Dodgers I worked at a local sub sandwich shop, I was a cashier at a truck stop, I worked in AOL tech support for 3 days (I hated that job), and in the summers I worked for the county parks and rec back home during the day and washed dishes at a restaurant I worked at in HS at night.

Anyone else remember restarting solitaire or free cell on windows 97 until you had a “good hand”? Someone was on the phone so you couldn’t use AOL on dial-up and your only other options were minesweeper or hearts. Hearts wasn’t too bad though. Technology was better back then.
