@misterslaw @notdred Yep you will never stop bad behavior on the internet. Scam/spam emails have been around ever since I had an AOL account.. but we find effective ways to minimize their harm..

@genentech I began to notice Dopples of me (those piggy backing onto my AOL payroll, etc.,) who seemed to be getting in trouble for being scum, and giving into blackmail to give away real Ed @eddonegan s DNA. Often this is Obama and Secret Service connected.

Enjoyed the flashback to AOL and LTT. Loved the juxtaposition of the then scene and the 3000 later pic we saw earlier. Didn’t like the Latra foreshadowing the taint. That’s too convenient and makes LTT an idiot rather than he and his 100 willingly taking a bold unknown decision

5/8 I loved seeing the AoL but I felt all this was part of what fell victim to the rush and pacing ,,, without the books it’s not clear how the sealing went wrong, or that the AS symbol at the end is a seal, or why we should care about the broken cuendillar

@liron @balajis Mid 90s, most websites did not have photos. There were articles in major magazines about the internet where writer had mistakenly never been on internet. Was actually in AOL or Prodigy. The internet was a vague idea to most people.

@pepesgrandma I'll never forget my first time on line even though very uneventful. We got a Compaq Presario as a family Christmas present of sorts. Then a couple AOL cards to login with. I remember that login noise w beeps and waiting 20 mins for the first page to load before I gave up :)
