@78NIKatNITE @nodqdotcom WCW didn’t fail because of him it was because of AOL and let’s stop this notion that AEW is close to what WCW was to the WWE. You fanboys wanna go so hard for them and they have been doing nothing but regressing

  • BoomboxesUnite Walt and Jesse's RV (@BoomboxesUnite) reported

@The_Law_Boy AJ is old enough to foment all his lunacy even before the Internet. Which is really saying something. Once he got that AOL Online CD in the mail circa '96 it was game on. He's the worst kind of ******* prick.

  • Mally_DeBlack Mally DeBlack (@Mally_DeBlack) reported

Kyle just dealt me Psychic damage with "AOL Online". @dice_drop

  • nocturnenotwo Nuyoncé Proles (@nocturnenotwo) reported

@francesweetman @underhandrea I was a teen when livejournal, IRC and AOL were social media and thinking back, it was a sign of things to come lol. Digital division in its infancy, but it was never, ever as insidious. Humanity will look back on social media as one of the worst things we ever created.

  • Brnikat Paul Leyland (@Brnikat) reported

@ToniWidmo @s_palm @GuardianAus Not an anecdote at all. I remember when it first happened, with America Online. AOL's response was to suggest using "Sconthorpe" to bypass the filter. Someone pointed out that "Am" has much the same problem in Turkish and recommended that the company be called Omerica Online.

  • Redapples2021 David Astramskas (@Redapples2021) reported

@LegionHoops I get what @Money23Green is trying to say but American Online was much more than an OSP so he should have compared having AOL's dial-up service in 90s/early 00s to having a "high speed" like Fiber optic. Or even HTML sites with Real video clips to what we have now.

  • Drawnder Drawnder 🇵🇷 alerta intruso 🚨alerta intruso 🚨al (@Drawnder) reported

"Im AfRaId Of pEoPlE rUiNiNg My FrAnChIsE" AND PEOPLE SAY THIS ABOUT DC LIKE DC NEVER COMPLETELY ***** OVER IT'S CHARACTERS. LIKE THEY'RE PERFECTLY STEWARTED BY THE GOOD BRAINS OF A COMPANY THAT'S BEEN OWNED BY AOL.

  • DeadlyRave MTLX LNCR (@DeadlyRave) reported

@pancakeparadox Warner Bros Discovery is making the AOL-Time Warner merger of 2001 look like child's play. Never seen a head of a company so gleefully destructively taking a hammer to an entire portfolio of works.

  • bobwagstaff Robert J. Wagstaff (@bobwagstaff) reported

@CryptTrash Each issue should come with an AOL disc

  • fayerwin52 Erwin Stinneford (@fayerwin52) reported

@karenkho It’s not as bad as their AOL deal was, is it?
