PanoramaDan (@PanoramaDanB) reported@DrElectronX @RandyWKirk1 Major tech companies pre-dot-com bubble peak (late 1990s–2000): Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, IBM, Oracle, Lucent, Sun Microsystems, Compaq, Dell, HP, AOL, Yahoo, Apple, Amazon, eBay. If you wind the clock forward 10 yrs everyone of these except AOL lives on its own or was merged. My point is that most of the leaders in the tech industry would survive a bubble bust if it happened tomorrow. I saw the bubble coming and moved to cash befire the dot. com bubble, but I was scared out of the market for 10 years and missed the rapid rebound of the tech leaders. Timing a bubble is a fools game. Buy quality companies whose competitive advantages will endure in down times.

Peter Wiscombe (@pwiscombe) reported@Latterdaytruth The video clip of the TV show Cheers where Rebecca is asking why more men can’t bring flowers and is misheard as Mormons: back in the early days of of AOL I found the clip and edited it so instead of saying “I wish someone would send me some damn roses” it says “I wish someone would send me some some roses” so I could share it with my in-laws who wouldn’t have appreciated the “damn” Now my version is the most common one you can find on the Internet.

Recon Number 54 (@Recon_Number_54) reported@NilesSankey The Bungie of my memories was (as you say) a once in a lifetime confluence of people and a particular time in the world. I remember when they were a "keyword" on AOL (before AOL had full Internet access, sort of like a link) and fans were also prevalent on UseNet. This time (and the decade after) was when the fans and the devs had such tight contact that everyone was "in on the joke" when The Webmaster, Disembodied Soul or other online "persona" would rib, tease, or outright insult gamers. Not as if they were family, because they WERE family. It was great while it lasted, but things inevitably change and more and more gamers started considering themselves "customers" and that Bungie should treat them as such ("the customer is always right" mantra for example). The playful and sometimes hardcore "back and forth" went away. The tight connection between the devs and their fans became customer service interactions with consumers. People were told "It's not 2004 anymore" and the fact is that they were right. The era had passed and something new/different had replaced everything. That carefree, brave, willing to take risks, adventurous outlook of a tightly knit team isn't something that can be forced and it isn't likely to survive current-day corporate culture. It's not 1994, 2004, or even 2014 anymore. But it WAS fun!

You can try to explain to some local circuit judge who probably still uses AOL for their email , how you are a part of special protected and exempt group. Or you can submit your forms.

For 1 yr she said she had to help my aunt who was dying. Then came back and said she wants a divorce. Found out she lied. She left for a man on aol chat
