@ifandbut01 @ThatEnglishGent @LoreReloaded @SpacedockHQ @MccabeAlasdair @EckhartsLadder No, but the FidoNet BBS's did. We also had Prodigy, and AOL. Some smaller ones as well. There has always been debate. Never has it been so bad. I remember there being a lot of hate for Voyager. Hate for DS9. The hate because, or over (neutrality sake) STD, imo is overwhelming!

@seventeen___g @CryptoCobain Why is AOL always the comparison? ETH is platform so much closer to an OS. We've had the same desktop OS's for decades because of network effect. And defi network effects are arguably much stronger since protocols build on each other and some can't even exist without others.

@gigaclear raised a support case and tried to call but no reply. Poor connectivity...my sky box won’t even connect and it’s in the room directly about node. Netflix & Disney plus buffering. Feel like I’m back using AOL dialup

@JenReadsRomance In 1995 for me as well, I was in high school. Remember those AOL CDs with so many free hours? And the singular annoyance you felt when you wanted to go online but your parent was on the phone? Things my child will never know.

@TheEnergyToSave AOL, Enron and Netscape were the future when I was in elementary school. I'd say majority of current companies won't be around in 10 years. Zenon hasn't done an ICO and appears to have private money financing since 2018. Network launch acted like a smart contract on btc network

@OurNewHomecoach @peggymel2001 I find it weird how many people want to amass followers and feel bummed when strangers they don't really know opt out of following them. I treat twitter like oldschool AIM/AOL. If I have a good interaction with someone, I'll add them, etc. But I keep my lists fairly small.
