  • thelastpinkcar Helena (@thelastpinkcar) reported from Chicago, Illinois

Geez @verizon I pay $330/month for 6 devices on a family plan, and I can only use my jetpack for approximately two weeks of normal internet usage, and then you slow me down to pre-AOL dial-up speeds. Just hate this. That's not fair at all.

  • TRIhunna #TriHerbal Woman✨ (@TRIhunna) reported from Chicago, Illinois

Please update your app. It’s AOL dial up type slow @ShopifySupport. It literally crashes every 3 commands. Also, it would behoove you to make it an option to be able to print labels/ packing slips in bulk as opposed to which day they’re purchased Printing shouldn’t be a hassle

  • WahidTazudeen Wahid Tazudeen (@WahidTazudeen) reported from Chicago, Illinois

I don’t know why my internet is running so slow. I have the latest version of Netscape Navigator installed with AOL webcrawler as backup.

@RussellLowery10 Some data points. At School. Used ICQ first started in 1996 & was before Facebook. Didn’t go far. Was bought out by AOL for approx $400m. Had 100m users at peak but never took off. Conversely. YouTube started 2005. Bought by Google late 2006 for $1.65B. Rev 2020 - $20B…

  • goodboy_invest Mitcℏell (@goodboy_invest) reported

@BTC_Archive @FrancisSuarez Really has slow with 3-4 transactions a sec who are you kidding? BTC is too slow, too expensive, too much energy consumption. BTC is 15 year old software. Do you still use AOL and dial up for your internet access?

  • MaaaanListen Well Seasoned Grease (@MaaaanListen) reported

@MahoganyCounsel I learned that lesson in college. AOL chatrooms had my **** all messed up. Turned in my paper with hella shorthand in it. Damn red ink everywhere lol

  • robsterwarrior MrRobster (@robsterwarrior) reported

@ITPro seeking any ownership info for AOL Mail. And any company Director name. Their email service has non-existent spam controls. Been a user for over a decade, appalled at its lack of basic content checking. #stopthespam @aolmail

  • King8Duane Duane King (@King8Duane) reported

@WFPB_Is_Best @goldengateblond You are off by a decade. In the late 80’s some corporate clients of IBM had email with IBM PROFS. I worked for one of those companies. We did not have access to the WWW. For most people, email/WWW did not become available until AOL brought dialup service in the early 90s.

  • Chester_Nuggies Chester (@Chester_Nuggies) reported

@THEREALRTU It's just some kid trying to act hard and edgy on the internet. I did that **** much worse than that in IRC in and AOL chat rooms in the 90s. Ignore him or he'll learn to feed off the attention as an adult.

  • nellbailey 🌸Nell Bailey🌸 (@nellbailey) reported

I’ll watch documentaries where people are swept up in scams by false love interests, and the always ridiculous cringey stories the conmen come up with that the victims buy into I’m like- some of you never spent hours in AOL rp chat rooms talking to unhinged strangers and it shows

  • OletusMaid a r e s (@OletusMaid) reported

@lSOCHRONlSM … [ aol dial-up noises ] Oh. I see. I see… [ And then she grasps at her head and ruffles her hands through it ] ****. I DON’T HAVE A RING. Or a last name… Can I have your last name? Wait. WAIT. That’s a pickup line, oh gods im sorry [ flustered mess of a woman ]

  • phlash74 Joseph Wright (@phlash74) reported

@aceboogie_11 @RamKaY_ @aaronrift 2 years later wouldn't have made sense. There wouldn't have been a WCW/ECW to invade WWF. The issue was that after Turner got bought out the top guys' contracts were with AOL/Time Warner rather than WCW so Vince couldn't get them for pennies on the dollar like he did the company.

  • PrimalHex ⛧ Gen X Jefff ⛧ (@PrimalHex) reported

@ErbunnNinja @Ryon_Downs That's the problem. Where am I going to find people in person who I can have these kinds of conversations with? I've been spoiled since AOL.
