@TJLarkin23 I mean, you never know who will be the "AOL" who gets everyone in web3 then paves the way for a "Google" to take over. But I'm impressed how ubiquitous ENS already is, even unknowingly. I'll say "ENS", people are confused, then I say ".eth names" and they know it.

  • augustsrain 🖤 (@augustsrain) reported

I still kick myself for never going to an AOL Build event. They did it in the early afternoon on weekdays which was very inconvenient. But it was so easy to go AND FREE.

There's a lowest common denominator in here somewhere I always try to keep that in mind just like Jesus spoke about the least of these Because if you don't keep them in mind then you'll run roughshod over them like Joe Hart does Jah Work is never done, Joe Jah Love Hart at AOL

  • DrJohnFrancis Dr. Blue Check (@DrJohnFrancis) reported

@PlannedTheRide @MuellerSheWrote Fun fact: the original version of AOL Instant Messenger used to have what was called an "Eviling" button where you could squelch the speed of another messenger harassing you and it would slow down their IM deliveries. But if you abused it, it would slow down your message speed

  • erin_space Erin Space (@erin_space) reported

@PetraAu Yes, we had a HP in the kitchen, somehow it eventually moved into my room and that’s where the real trouble began, IRC and AOL in the middle of the night 🥳
