@NoTimeZone_ Fat thumb'd aol instead of blockbuster. BB fumbled hardest imo bc they fumbled twice.. they had brand recognition and customer base but let redbox gain market share first without competing..then Netflix happened..and again BB didnt step up.

@DAngryAmerican @PanamaRedAZ I never said C++ nor AOL. Quantum Link was for online collaboration. Back in the 80s you had to buy and setup networking hardware to connect. Needless to say, it was where I started learning about computer networks.

@dizdidcurse for those who never had aol: there were chatrooms devoted to rping where like 20 to 30 ppl at a time were in there and everyone jumped in to rp sad elf women or half devil half vampire cyborg ocs carrying flaming swords and writing verbose sentences about how handsome they were.

@gogurtjizz When my mom got the bill she called aol support and told them they'd entered into an agreement with a minor, which intimidated the rep so hard that they refunded the charges and closed the account.
