@eddytheaxe Oh that'll happen as soon as every remembers the days when they had to deal with bad actors who made chat rooms just pull people in to treat them like garbage. Sadly AOL has been gone far too long for that memory to be with everyone. *And Yahoo as well...

@elonmusk If $TSLA stock drops below $200, the head and should technical move will take it down to $108. I don’t think your lenders will like to see another 30% drop in their loan guarantee. So focus on TSLA and stop this madness with the worst investment in history after AOL/Time Warner

@CommodoreLad @gpowerf Sure it can. See MySpace, AOL, etc. All it takes is either 1) a newer, better platform, or 2) for Twitter to become more trouble than it's worth. We may (arguably) not have #1, but we're well on our way to #2.

@pastordan @tai_nugget The problem is, AOL was bought by Yahoo. There was no larger purpose, and there were plenty of equally efficient alternatives. That's not the case with twitter, which is why we need to organize to take it over at the fire sale.

@tombarton Everyone always forgets about Bebo. Sold to AOL in 2008 for $850 million, shut down. Bought back by the original founders for $1 million Sold to Amazon for $25 million, shut down. Picked up again my original founders who recently had an unsuccessful Beta relaunch.
