@just_some_d00d basically, they did it just to slang drugs out of there. remember that graf i showed u. turns out that dude stole my code for aim, sold it to aol for $20M-$30M, later down the road got in good w the illuminati + church of scientology + several cartels. long story, don't ask

@cryptoboy82 @RaoulGMI Even ETH may prove to be AOL. They had a hell of a network effect in the late 90s until the lines got jammed and ISPs became a thing. Broadband was the deathknell.

@annasproul I was one of a handful of producers in the Dulles, VA AOL newsroom on 9/11. The campus was evacuated after a plane that departed from the adjacent airport slammed into the Pentagon. I’ll never forgot having to sit on my hands because they were shaking so much I couldn’t type.
