    @FCJaymes All I had was AOL IM and very limited texts even in high school, and none of that before haha. Social media is horrible for the mind of a kid. I can't imagine growing up with it. It would have been an entirely different experience, and I doubt in a good way

    @LauraLoomer I was there when the internet first became a public space Back when you got 3 AOL disks in the mail every week Everyone thought that with the internet giving access to the sum total of human knowledge to everyone, regardless of class or income or credentials, that the population would become more informed than ever before in human history What happened - Within ten years99% of the internet became disinformation, games, and **** I think that the internet has brought more bad than good

    @Wajson_Crack I was using Netscape back in those days. Netscape is a browser- like Duck or Brave or FoxFire- Big competition back then to be the Browser king between netscape and ms internet explorer, then AOL stepped in and acquired netscape as their own in their platform. The 80's was the mad rush to claim the Everests of tech. I was in IT back then- even did the in person lecture series for certifications for MS. GIANT 4-5 inch wide binders of microsoft crap -carried with you into hours upon hours of MS lectures. LOL
