  • JuBug89 Julie Thompson (@JuBug89) reported from Township of Sumpter, Michigan

@Xfinity @XfinitySupport Apparently it's also effecting your service. My mobile service (yours) and my WiFi are running like I'm on AOL dial up 😒 I chatted with someone and their solution was to send a sim card. 🤨

  • ER_FAN1280 Michael Roberts (@ER_FAN1280) reported from Livonia, Michigan

@NotJahWitness I don't hate comic Sans in my experience, although I don't see it as a proper font choice. It's too bad because I enjoyed it for memes in AOL days.

  • BryceWeiner Bryce Nofomo (@BryceWeiner) reported

Sitting here thinking ... there’s still a few thousand people using AOL dial up internet service. Dial up internet. Like... you have to have a landline. Whose grandmother is this?

  • DrJohnFrancis Dr. Francis 🇺🇲 (@DrJohnFrancis) reported

@ashk4n @Twitter Seriously, this type of oversight has easily been avoided since AOL took down Sanford Wallace.

  • nobry Robert Ferguson (@nobry) reported

@kevverage @Minorcynic @PaulMcLennan7 You'll catch him on the internet at 320×200 resolution. Dial up aol. Be patient with him.

  • snide_sally (not a) Dr Sally🇺🇸46 (@snide_sally) reported

It’s hard not to picture a gated community having fiber optic internet installed and then sending a dump truck full of AOL free trial discs to a poor Black community and then saying they “fixed the digital divide”.

  • clevelandreaper 𝕻𝖗𝖔𝖙𝖆𝖌𝖔𝖓𝖎𝖘𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝕽𝖊𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖞 (@clevelandreaper) reported

@thewomaniswild When I get a customer’s email address and if it’s AOL or Yahoo I have to bite my tongue to stop from asking what it’s like back in 1998.

  • MIT1991_2 Henry 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕗? (@MIT1991_2) reported

@michael_saylor Myspace is a bad comparison. AOL, netscape, yahoo may be good one. Back in early/mid 90s those were the golds, and no one cared about google, netflix, amazon, etc. More crypto adaption = less market share for BTC. I can see BTC < 5% crypto market share in 5-10 yrs. 1/2

  • hondanhon Dan Hon (@hondanhon) reported

If you had someone trying to figure out what happens when bonding multiple internet connections to a mid-90s ISP that never got renamed to AOL, you could call it the Quantum Double SLIP Experiment.

  • OG245 O.G (@OG245) reported

Damn why we talking about migente/blackplanet and aol aim on the group cousin chat..... I always say I type fast cuz of aol aim and not the typing class that was a hs diploma requirement

  • RHornik Richard Hornik (@RHornik) reported

@foreman_william @erinhale that was the problem. i was exec ed of Asiaweek when AOL shut it down in Dec 2001 and the underlying cause was an almost total reliance on advertising revenue which had collapsed after 9/11 By the way, AOL (Time Warner) refused to sell rights to the name
