  • pinko_machinist 🍗pinko🥧machinist😴 (@pinko_machinist) reported from City of Saint Paul, Minnesota

@leonardpierce Something like the Assembly Of Locals wouldn’t have precluded ppl showing up for things, but given how little shit got done and the actual lack of honest discussion at the convention AOL would still be a huge improvement

  • jtotheb15 Jason Barrett (@jtotheb15) reported from Spring Lake Park, Minnesota

This stream of @mnwild on @nbcsn on @YouTubeTV is terrible. The buffering makes me wish I had AOL dial up still

  • pinko_machinist pinko🏴machinist (@pinko_machinist) reported from City of Saint Paul, Minnesota

@timtakestime @Sulliedsubjects Im still convinced that Natalie got up to chair just for No One is Too Poor to try to intimidate the person making the motion and to control debate. Ppl repeating bald faced lies about AoL even after the the author corrected misconceptions from the floor

@RWPUSA @AOL He would love that type of power; what greedy narcissist wouldn't! However, to turn this country from a democracy to a authoritarian one will not come easy! He and his family makes money while living free & travel free. The power to dump many harmless poor people out as possible!

  • Crackleflame1 Crackleflame👹⚛️ (@Crackleflame1) reported

@TIA_Lucas20520 Back in AOL days I got a random message. I met the girl for dinner. She didn't look anything like her pic. Dumb as rocks and after dinner I took off and never met a random online person again.

  • CoachWane Coach Wane (@CoachWane) reported

@thekriskay ahh yes AOL the good ole days where internet was hell of slow

  • TheThirstyWench Robin LeBlanc, from work (@TheThirstyWench) reported

@TwoLemonades Can't wait to sit down and tell kids about AOL chatrooms. You could have been talking with a 48 year-old man claiming he's a child, or a child claiming they were a 48 year-old man. Either way unlike today you were told it was dangerous to meet a stranger on the internet

  • InfernoRaps Inferno 🔥 (@InfernoRaps) reported

Kids these days cry about their favorite show buffering but never had to wait for Dial Up to get on AOL. #90skid

  • MonochromeAttic Don Mallory (@MonochromeAttic) reported

@hacks4pancakes I walked away from Windows at home after the Win8 AOL remix debacle. Not looking forward to seeing business ops turned upside down by bad UI decisions. But as the song goes... "Every OS Sucks..."

  • _BrendanSloan_ Lost Boys (@_BrendanSloan_) reported

@ShuttleJim Agree to not agree. People don't use AOL IM anymore is all. Plus you know lighting doesn't settle and it's the same as the current system but with btc. Agree on eth having issues.

  • ivn_gamboa Iván Gamboa (@ivn_gamboa) reported

    @JoshAYbear Damn, AOL!

  • keepingkayfabe Limitless Cat Daddy. (@keepingkayfabe) reported

@AcpwFox98 There were a ton of factors, a TON. So much so that two full books on the subject didn’t cover all of it. Regardless, if you narrowed the company’s death down to one thing: it was the warner/aol merger.

  • SadBillAckman SBA (@SadBillAckman) reported

Anyhow - this is evidence for my theory that people who were around to cover AOL-TimeWarner should not be taken as authorities on modern tech issues - they have been coasting on being early to a growth sector for a very long time.

  • leog68 Leo Guy (@leog68) reported
