@JamesBradleyCA What’s really funny is AOC and everyone that bought a Tesla enabled musk to lose $33B. It’s been called the second worst acquisition in history behind Aol Warner. He bought an $11B company for $44B. It’s funny to watch the Reps meltdown, thinking Dems care who owns Twitter.

@lifesafeast Well it was worth about $11B and called the second worst acquisition ever behind AOL Time Warner . So who can tell

@CryptocSav @JGaffneyUSN buying Twitter will go down in history as the dumbest thing since the AOL/Time Warner merger.

  • alexwhalen Just Be Kind. That’s it. That’s all. (@alexwhalen) reported

Working at AOL in its formative years taught me a very important lesson: no digital social network is ever too big to fail, and when they do fail, it happens quickly and people who aren’t investors in it dont really care. They REALLY quickly move on.

@ArcInternet @darinwf what's your fav feature from early Netscape, AOL, etc. that never made it to modern browsers?

  • racconconnoisse Victor Roa (@racconconnoisse) reported

@JSwayArt lol, of course he would, it's not like people are asking for "Twitter Platinum." A service like AOL chat room in the 90s.

  • andkg Andy G (@andkg) reported

There's no obvious and direct replacement for Twitter because Twitter is not and has never been profitable. There will be a "next thing," but it will look like something else. AOL charged by the minute, Facebook charges the advertisers. We shall see what's next.
