AOL simply never achieved the network effects necessary to dominate the internet. One of the reasons why is that it wasn’t much of a network and more of a commodity.

Let's make sure its 1Gb dwn/500Mb up. That would be a floor in 2020's (easy over fiber) Anything less is 21st C version of 1990s AOL dialup. @DMRegister
