@crissles I'm sad that @KidFury never got to experience the blackplanet 12 at MDCC in '00 but he, like me, will get over that after quick after you have to explain to 3 grill fronts how to add the Bone Thug "Change The World" song to their page, while praying my AOL m4m chat dont popoff.

I don't think people appreciate my contribution to what the internet is. I pretended to be 15-year old twins, who ****** their dad, and the dude who delivered papers to the gas station I worked at in White land, IN, tried to get me to **** a dog when I was on AOL in SA,TX

For the last 15 years or so, I've let people outside myself guide my opinions on fiction. Me. The person who crawled onto AOL in 1998 and started screaming that Hojo FF7 was hot. How the hell? Never again, man.

YIM down? go to MSN, or AOL, or Skype or whatever, or go to the forum or <whatever> IRC server. So many options to just chill and chat and vibe with everyone you cared about. Nowadays the internet is like it's in a cold war or fragmented af, with no flexibility to where anyone is

@apolloglobal The bias, censorship and shadow banning that goes on at AOL remains unchecked. In my opinion it is an attempt to rig the mid-terms.When will Apollo Global fix these problems?

Moreover though - I grew up back when we had to choose between forums or various IRC servers or YIM/MSN/AOL/various other IM clients. Everyone I knew was on every other service, and it felt arbitrary as hell, deciding which client or website you PM'd or messaged someone on.
