Voxxx (@13vRJ) reported@mrcauliman Despite all the noise in our little "sphere", we're still very early. Compared to the speed of internet adoption, I'd say we're still not even to that point where you had 50 CD's falling out of your mailbox from AOL and other ISP's every day. The regulations are simply a floodgate to move things along faster. The real problem is still education. Nobody wanted to learn how packets move, they just wanted to see tits online. Nobody wanted to learn html until there was a UI and MySpace made it fun.

matt stevens (@mattst73) reported@distributedkv Once compute is available we will leave this current token war setup. This is much like the AOL charge by the minute internet back in the 90's. Then some brave souls that where smaller just said unlimited internet for 20 bucks a month. Then the communication companies offered DSL and access to the service for $50 a month. More than likely we will have some small data centers maybe 10 racks serving a neighborhood. Do you really need 2 trillion perimeters to write posts, summarize emails?

Loki ☕ (@_DetectiveLoki_) reported@Vocado114 I've had loads of Discord accounts and have never seen this before, no clue what to suggest with that. Are you signing up with multiple different emails from the same provider (eg. multiple which are aol)? That's all I can think of
