@Apple and today when I called apple support that they told me that they can’t recover these emails and they told me to call AOL and Gmail in a rude way.

  • jmasterson23_ Zumoarikunori Arikatakarinmotoku (@jmasterson23_) reported from Staten Island Junction, New Jersey

@AOL is the worst internet provider and email service! That’s exactly why they are going out of business. They wont let me acquire an email that I have not used in years (which happens to be the same email for my IG). DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

  • prsweety Prsweety (@prsweety) reported from North Plainfield, New Jersey

My favorite AOL/AIM profile was simply Times New Roman size 12 white background simply saying "Loading..." and away msg was "just got into a really bad accident. be back later"

  • NellieBerlicchi Nellie Berlicchi (@NellieBerlicchi) reported from Jersey City, New Jersey

@nypost AOL is a moron. Don’t care about her college because she is still as stupid as stupid can B.

@cvspharmacy you have the ability to make 2020 less awful, get rid of the car-length long receipts. We all have email, even “Karen” has @aol #cvsreceipts

Ironically even after contacting regarding RESTORATION OF EMAILS LOST FROM SAVED LABELLED FOLDERS in GMAIL, AOL or YAHOO;NO SOLUTION IS OFFERED by APPLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. INSTEAD the AGENT HANGED D PHONE without any solution.

  • AngryOroro Stefan⭐️Universe (@AngryOroro) reported from Newark, New Jersey

@crissles I'm sad that @KidFury never got to experience the blackplanet 12 at MDCC in '00 but he, like me, will get over that after quick after you have to explain to 3 grill fronts how to add the Bone Thug "Change The World" song to their page, while praying my AOL m4m chat dont popoff.

  • yolainc Yolanda Alejandre (@yolainc) reported from Jersey City, New Jersey

@wvjoe911 @AOL That's funny they do it all with no help from the media.

AOL Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • davebonawits Dave Bonawits (@davebonawits) reported

Something I used to do on late 90s AOL was browse stranger’s profiles. People would list their favorite bands and and I would make note of certain band names if they listed just a few bands I liked. I’d later spend 15 dollars on cds of bands I never actually heard. #myalgorithm

  • ElBrock22 Jon (@ElBrock22) reported

@RubinReport At least I can use the AOL cd to try and signal for help

  • MeToddScott Todd Scott (@MeToddScott) reported

@karenlatimer6 We never did AOL, but as a good Manitoban we used Excape net.

  • LawIbbetson Larry 🦅 (@LawIbbetson) reported

@DaveWeasel Reminds me of when I called AOL support as a child when I couldn’t get online and found out the problem was I didn’t have the PC connected to the phone line. I also didn’t have an AOL subscription.

  • MiguelAliDaddy Miguel Ali (@MiguelAliDaddy) reported

@JMReitman @schlaf AOL is the best answer on this thread. Everyone signed up for AOL b/c it was an ISP for dialup. Once people got DSL, AOL was finished. AOL either needed to (1) purchase the broadband lines or (2) develop a search engine & social network, monetized off ads. Huge headstart too.

  • Precipice87 Cliff ‘Precipice’ Whitford (@Precipice87) reported

@RubinReport With the AOL CD you could use the reflective side to flag down a passing boat. The other isn’t that bright.

  • NorcalFireWatch 🇺🇸🇺🇸Norcal Breonna Taylor Arrest Watch🇺🇸🇺🇸 (@NorcalFireWatch) reported

@RockyMountViews @true_sea Hang a bunch of old aol cds from it? I mean I’m joking but also something like that might help. Or like that shiny ribbon they use to deter birds.

  • justjoehere Joseph Ours (@justjoehere) reported

@javan @canary I call it retention through frustration, pioneered by AOL and cable companies- it’s an affront to real customer service.

  • BarreEberhardt Hack reality & you'll be all OK! (@BarreEberhardt) reported

@Eric_BIGfund Never even tried converting people, just kept quietly mentioning #Bitcoin through the years - know from the past 3 decades that most people will NOT listen... That is, until the early adoption phase gets started of course. Now we're perhaps just months from the "AOL moment" ;-)

  • RithuOwO Rithu (@RithuOwO) reported

@EktoHunter AOL sadly doesn't work on OS9, at least not with the iwarg ddns
