    I only ever got an AOL address as part of signing up for AIM. Other than that, I mostly used it to send spam and to sign up for iTunes (which is a problem, actually, because my AOL account was killed due to inactivity and I can't recover the password for it.

    @16bitnostalgia 2 My first email was Hotmail, never AOL. My family never owned encyclopedias. That's what the library was for.

    @ImJimR87 "Owned *an* encyclopedia." Telling. The person who wrote this has probably never seen the 20+ volumes of a *set* of encyclopedias. Only rich people could afford that when I was a kid. The rest of us used the ones at the library. Never had My Space or AOL.
