  • DeadairDennis Deadair Dennis Maler (@DeadairDennis) reported from Providence, Rhode Island

@bmoredownbeats I’m “sent AOL IMs via SMS text” years old. And I couldn’t continue reading b. Too many typos in their headlines. Such a bad publication.

  • montefisto13 Tim (@montefisto13) reported from Providence, Rhode Island

@13banger83 @MrCumbria80 @davemeltzerWON Time Warner that owned them . The AOL deal wasn’t finalized until a little over a month before WCW was sold. I’m sure the 24 months when the deal was being worked out didn’t help but AOL was buying a 150+ billion dollar company. The already failing WCW wasn’t a huge factor

@TruthMerica @PanicBig @jeremyduda A packet is basically a log of IP addresses. A VPN can mimic or mask a VPN, and anyone smart enough to crack an app that’s not connected to a network would certainly not use their mom’s AOL account.

  • MichaelBHinman Michael Hinman (@MichaelBHinman) reported

I wanted to see what some of my old emails looked like from back in my AOL days, so I tried to log into my AOL account. I can't remember the password, so I tried recovery. The problem? My phone number and alt email address are so old, I don't even have access.

  • MetalSonicDude1 MSD (@MetalSonicDude1) reported

@tmrosahernandez His unstoppable removal only works for non-permanent/permanent buffs, and non-permanent passives. The passive unstoppable from LoL and AoL cannot be removed, only prevented by slow.

  • GeoChrisdotOrg GeoChris (@GeoChrisdotOrg) reported

@AtwaterRhodes @ATT They are the worst at cancelling for people. I think it was easier to cancel AOL back in the day then get things fixed with ATT. Some major news organization needs to do a story on how terrible and I might believe fraudulent. Feels like they hope you don’t see your account.

  • LarryRosenthal Larry Rosenthal (@LarryRosenthal) reported

@karaswisher yea. still crazy they found an AOL Subscribe for Service CDROM encrusted into a rock cave wall.

  • DemosCat DemosCat (@DemosCat) reported

@simongerman600 Technically, my first email was in 1987. An internal email system hosted by an IBM mainframe, accessed via a PC running an IBM 3270 terminal emulator. For Internet, sometime in the mid-1990's, provided by a long gone startup. I never touched AOL. 😺

  • boseaglex3 eaglex3 (@boseaglex3) reported

@simongerman600 AOL in 1995. I also started law school that year and I think at one point I was given a .edu email account, but I never used it. I didn’t even look at it. Even though we had school email, no one used it for anything. My first law firm job in ‘98 also didn’t have email at first.

  • WriterJane74 Jane! is reading a book (@WriterJane74) reported

@ajtweet Texting isn't a priority since her friends call. I'm the outlier. I'm hoping to figure out why she can't email photos from her iPad. I think it's a setting issue. Or the fact that she still has an AOL account.

  • _Cardano_ADA The Cardano Report™ (@_Cardano_ADA) reported

@PQbtc @jack #Cardano is THE most decentralized (it's not close), has FAR superior utility, & equal or better security. #BTC...slow/old tech, limited utility - will be the #AOL equivalent. You have tunnel vision...you can't see the forest for the trees - sorry, good luck.
