Taking it waaayyy back @Steve_McNear but it’s a great comparison. My gigabit internet from @comcast feel like same quality as 1998 AOL dial up. Drops calls. Drops video. It’s horrible and @comcastcares has known about it for weeks but keeps lying and closing the issue report.

Saw somebody today whine that it's impossible to give up your childhood favorites if they turn out to be problematic. Specifically referenced Ender's Game as an example. **** that. I loved Ender's Game. My AOL screen name as a kid was Ender. Guess what?

I am half considering a Non-Tech playlist on ConsoleCowboys where I just demystify all the idiocy regarding learning, resources, becoming a legitimate hacker, and ignoring bad mental programming created by this industry using the word "cyber" like its a 1995 AOL chat room.. ASL?

@ZssBecker Damn Alex you can’t be serious!! Eth ain’t it. Tech created by a 15 year old kid in 2015 isn’t going to be “The one.” It’s the AOL of the internet. Super limited, too expensive, not fast enough, etc. This move to POS will just make the validators wealthy.

  • beaurebard 3 DAYS UNTIL A COURT OF 🧚🏻 & 💐 (@beaurebard) reported

steddie au where they meet and hang out in an aol chat room and slowly fall in love

  • jgoldik Jennifer 🤓🏳️‍🌈 (@jgoldik) reported

@silentkil_er ICQ, AOLIM, IRC, Napster, Kazaa, free AOL discs, hotmail (before it was bought out), metacrawler, Netscape navigator, subscribing to email lists, the horrible patterned webpage backgrounds, <blink>.

  • StephenStpwine1 Stephen not Steven (@StephenStpwine1) reported

@softuch25 I think I’m the last person in America to still have ( though never used ) an AOL account. I’ll probably end up being among a handful still with cable

  • Anumbr1 Mechadave (@Anumbr1) reported

@silentkil_er America On Line. It sucked and god help you if you wanted to quit, because AOL would keep hitting your charge card or phone bill for months afterwards.

  • the_robert robert haag (@the_robert) reported

@wrestling_jazzy @bryanalvarez They can request it, but it's the network that makes those decisions. Back in the day Turner owned everything and could just do whatever he wanted... Until AOL... Let's not mention that.
