@TheCryptoLark The idea behind #Etherium and the principal of decentralization yes could be very promising. Now in practice and leading to mass adoption of the rest of retailers and enterprise is definitely not the best network. #ETH is the AOL of the internet they are better L1 out there.

Those that watch @scrowder talk about his contract for his show, you should all know, this is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s one of the main reasons I’m at the America Out Loud network, and not aligned elsewhere. There is none of this type of tomfoolery with AOL.

@TheVanderVliet nothing against great rockers of older times but they R not able 2 kick it on stage like in the old days. i still recall when i 1st got in AOL,yes2 decades ago, guy typed "thats it for me,never going to rolling stones live concert again. i passed an old lady in a wheelchair"

@eikedrescher Right but I don’t pick Gmail the server. I just pick the service. UI and all. Advanced users can add different clients, POP servers, whatever. But I’m not asked to selected the geo and rules of my server. Most people got their first email by just signing up to AOL, Hotmail or Y!

By fail, i don't mean "closes up shop." I mean stops being centrally important. So like, AOL stopped being centrally important but AOL was never as big as FB and it existed in an era of paid monthly minutes. It took a turn for the worst when the entire business model failed.

memaw just called to get help with her *AOL* email (i honestly love that she still has it) her email was hacked and when she called, AOL tried to get her to pay $30 for a new security plan lol
