@kevinandbean my brother had AOL and when he died in 2006, I contacted them to cancel. The ******* with AOL kept to his script they use to prevent canceling about how my brother may need access in future to HIS email. I was so angry by time I finally got off the phone.

@noobfatherof1 @Fritz588_ @AOC Well, if Amazon would have set up shop there, that community wouldn't be so poor, cuz jobs! And they were going to build a new school & upgrade existing schools with high technology. @AOL blew it! You haven't the foggiest how they would have upgraded the whole community! #idiot❄

@TheForestFuller @Jack25721560 That man did what he could for a network that didn't give a **** about WCW after the AOL/TW merger. But hey what do I know?

The Great Fowler
(@TheGreatFowler) reported
The narrative that AOL/TW would not have kept WCW no matter what = asinine If they had better ratings and ad revenue, you know damn well they would have. They bailed on a sunk ship and the people involved (Eric and Bro) were a large part of the "sinking"

@nodqdotcom And Once again TK is talking out of his rear end. If you do a simple thing called you know research, you'd know that WCW was dying WAY before Russo even got there. Did he help? No, but at that point WCW was already on death's bed. Hell the Time Warner/AOL deal killed them.

@rakeshlobster Calling the front desk to get service (or texting) is not as hard as canceling AOL used to be, which I’m sure you remember 🤓

@hilzoy Brought up (bad) memories of trying to cancel AOL back in the day when ISPs began to compete. Easy to sign up on-line but had to cancel by phone. Sigh.
