@kevinandbean my brother had AOL and when he died in 2006, I contacted them to cancel. The ******* with AOL kept to his script they use to prevent canceling about how my brother may need access in future to HIS email. I was so angry by time I finally got off the phone.

@LaurenGallaway Dial-up AOL was too slow for recreational use, mostly. I would have been out on a date or out with friends. Back in those days, we gathered together and breathed each other’s air without a second thought 😢 If I was home, I’d read or watch TV or rent a movie from Blockbuster.

@knitgrrl Oh you know, the usual… getting ready to work for Newsweek Corporate Communications in the morning since Sunday was a critical day for us to promote Monday’s brand new issue. Might have gone to a nightclub anyway tho. Newsweek paid for my AOL account.
