@KLGLASS2 @Shakti74572 @AOL BE BEST WOOD fits her image perfectly bc the woman is empty as a brickwall cold as an ice cube boring as a slab of wood. Basically an empty ugly soul who will go down in history books as insignificant. Plagiarizer. Liar. Plastic. No compassion whatsoever for kids dying in cages

@seeminglee @xoxogossipgita Good point. Unfortunately Flickr is one of those internet brands that can probably never be sufficiently evolved without angering a core, vocal userbase, like still existing AOL customers.

@mygiantrobot DMX - Ruff Ryders Anthem. Pre-Napster, there were private chat rooms on AOL where people would “serve” MP3s. So painfully slow on a 14.4 kbit/s dial-up connection. Simpler times!

@RoyaltySpud I'm IRC years old, actually. I never really used ICQ, but I did use AIM because I had AOL from way back - like version 1. I used to get in trouble because we didn't have a local number to connect and I ran up long distance charges playing on AOL.

Just thinking about some of the companies featured as exemplary in case studies we looked at 20 years ago: eg, SWA (company culture, customer experience), Enron (innovation & intrepreneurship), Toys R Us (economies of scale & scope), AOL-TW merger (M&A strategy).

@ChrisF_0x Great thread man. I do liken this to what I saw as a child on the internet AOL age — there was a moment where NOTHING seemed impossible, like all problems were just two circuits about to find their match because of this new tool. Fascinating when it wears off.
