I tried to customize my Slack color scheme and it’s nothing short of appalling. Come to think of it, I never really was good at AOL color profiles, either.

@KLGLASS2 @Shakti74572 @AOL BE BEST WOOD fits her image perfectly bc the woman is empty as a brickwall cold as an ice cube boring as a slab of wood. Basically an empty ugly soul who will go down in history books as insignificant. Plagiarizer. Liar. Plastic. No compassion whatsoever for kids dying in cages

@mygiantrobot DMX - Ruff Ryders Anthem. Pre-Napster, there were private chat rooms on AOL where people would “serve” MP3s. So painfully slow on a 14.4 kbit/s dial-up connection. Simpler times!

@stephendelong78 @CALWDA @JulieSuCA @CA_EDD #CAEDD Is a complete disaster. INCOMPETENCE. It’s like as if someone who has dial-up Internet, an AOL email account and thinks ctrl+alt+delete is tech support is running the IT programming Dept. @CA_EDD The “pending” glitches and lack of cust. service needs to end ! PUA, PEUC>PAY

@AdtechGod 3 reasons I'm right: 1. The #s are going down. 2. FB has never shown they can innovate, all 'innovation' has come through acq. Gov't won't let them acq anymore. 3. Sheryl is gone and and Mark is ET. 4. Metaverse is too far away. In 2000 no one thought AOL could fail either.

AOL! TERRIBLE! It was to mean “America On Line”! Could not keep a tech advisor complete a help request on line to resolve problems with my email. Jess said “hello, what seems to be the problem” then disappeared and I had to pay to get him on line to start! VERIZON wake up please!

@DarynKagan I remember :) It would be interesting to see an analysis of the value of that stock as it was merged with Time Warner, then AOL, AT&T and now Discovery. It all feels a bad card trick.

@MarkNagi @nde1978 IMO, WCW & nWo died the night Goldberg tore through them in the Georgia Dome. The company itself went away because of AOL/Time Warner. But creatively, WCW was never the same after that Nitro.

@AOL In America, I almost had to hire a lawyer and sue the city of Philadelphia to get the vaccine. The govs own def of Health Disparities include people with mental and physical disabilities, but NO where is there support for anything but race minorities. Something is wrong here.

@juthica Yeah obviously. However, AOL was building rails. The network exists. Now it's about Immutable Truth. The side you are on, the switch. Not AOL Network Switching and Data Packets and POP Hardware Data Centres. 5 billion shades of grey, not!!!

More gratitude: it was a chore to string it along, but I now have Ethernet going up to my office. First time hard-wired at home since I had AOL. Speed isn't much different, but the reliability issues on my work machine should be gone. The Synology arrives tomorrow.
-

@simontarr As a fan of the wrestling show on a Turner network, I’m inherently concerned. (The AOL-Time Warner merger was the final blow that killed WCW in 2001, since it diluted Ted Turner’s shares and sway. Different scenario now, BUT STILL.)

@rak_strong I'd pay to stay on Twitter. I've been paying for over 2 decades to be on AOL back when it first stood for "America On Line". If AOL merged with Twitter for comments on news and articles tied to emails, I'd pay. My AOL accounts have never been hacked.

@YourDadLikedIt @rak_strong I had an arpanet login in the army to get weather information for flying. My first personal internet was a very early AOL account.
