@AmyDentata It's the same reason why gaudy desktop PC lights are a mess of vendor lock-in, And why we've reinvented the bad old days of infinite cable bundles and of AOL channels (which is about the nicest way I can think to describe the deliberate interop friction between social media apps)

Verizon should have never bought Yahoo and AOL, but it's good to see them shed those and refocus. AT&T should have never bought Tim Warner, but it's good to see them soon both that and DTV off. T-Mobilr should have never bought Layer3 TV. Etc.

Arlington, Va says so few doses have been administered because they can't get more but VA dashboard says only a third of distributed doses have been used. Sole shot site @VHC_Hospital won't allow 65+. @ArlingtonVA can't mail to waiting AOL or Verizon users. Help! @RWalensky

@milnesafc86 @Phil__Smith You're right mate. It's an easy option to blame the weather (which hasn't been that bad over the last 48 hours in Sunderland) but the chronic cost cutting now seems to have found it's way to the groundstaff and the state of the pitch at the SOL & AOL.

@DiMartinoBooth AOL was a fixed credit card cost at 9.99 a month for a service. #bitcoin can cost you $100 one day for the same "unit" somebody pays $500 for a week later. It has zero to do with evolution of technology its a speculation with no convienent end use or stable transaction fee's.

@GuptaMusings @DJJackSwanson As a guy who was around when Compuserv, AOL, and Prodigy were everything ... and who then went to work for ISP's from 1995-2001 ... super, super similar vibes. Why pay for a service with one website when you can have them all?

@jeffpeapod lol. AOL chatrooms and IM circa 1995-1997 taught me to type. In highschool I was the only person who did NOT have to use the stupid cardboard shield for the typing test. Yes, I looked at my fingers, but I also already typed faster than anyone else in class including the teacher
