Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Teuvz Matthew Charlton (@Teuvz) reported

It's not the first time I see this happening - remember AOL Forums? IRC? Geocities? Myspace? Skyblog? MSN? Internet users are nomadic by nature but this time is a bit different: we're not moving because we found a nicer place, we're moving because an idiot set fire the village.

  • rico0473 william (@rico0473) reported

@elonmusk Look back at aol after the buy out , disaster hit . Don’t try to fix what’s not broke .

  • Bwonk_Bwonk Grateful Citizen🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇦🇫🇮☮️ (@Bwonk_Bwonk) reported

@BlackKnight10k @RoArquette @keepthefaith611 In chess there is a strategy, to simply ignore and not defend against attack; but use every move to advance one’s own agenda. Twitter is going down, as AOL went down, as MySpace went down. The battle is elsewhere. Hasten to Counter Social or other platforms. Choose your battles.

  • IamScottHodges IamScottHodges (@IamScottHodges) reported

@EricStangel aol screen names might help too.

  • alexwhalen Just Be Kind. That’s it. That’s all. (@alexwhalen) reported

At the time, AOL was made up of something like 18 channels. Two of us ran 1/18 of the entire service, and they cut both of us without even letting our boss know. We had literally built it from scratch. There was no knowledge transfer, no prep, nothing. Just “leave by noon.”

  • UsedToBeGOP blue dot (@UsedToBeGOP) reported

@ThatEricAlper The never ending battle for the phone between voice calls between teenage girls and dialup for AOL

  • keeperofthekeys Nidhi (@keeperofthekeys) reported

So unfortunately or fortunately, by SQ she meant Spiritual Quotient. Of which I have none and according to her that's what's missing and I should ASAP join a cul, sorry "support group" like Isha Foundation, AOL or Brahmakumaris. I keep my mind open. (6/n)

  • DrPJClark1 Dr. Peter J Clark (@DrPJClark1) reported

@aliasvaughn No, its a bad investment. @rob_cyran of @Breakingviews spotted the key synergies that could be used to pay a premium, in the wasteful research unit. Little there otherwise. Massively overbid--at that price, competes with Microsoft/Nokia Oyi and AOL/TimeWarner as worst merger ever

  • mzedeler Michael Zedeler (@mzedeler) reported

@thingskatedid This is far from the first time someone in tech is doing something insanely stupid. Some ten years ago, Nokias switch to Microsofts mobile os was like swallowing a hand grenade. Before that, Time Warner purchased AOL. And before that, Yahoo forgot that they depended on users.

  • wanyinbot Jiang Cheng (@wanyinbot) reported

Jin Ling. Come help me guess Wei Wuxian's AOL password
