Please tell me that the branch should’ve communicated this to the main team - information should be accurate. It’s frustrating.

mark brimblecombe (@markbrimblecom1) reported@Barclays I’ve banked with @BarclaysUK since I was 15 — 43 years without ever being overdrawn or causing a problem. I recently received a notice that my account will be closed because I now currently live overseas. I still hold a British passport, pay UK bills, and plan to return home regularly , and intend to retire in the UK. I completely understand compliance rules, but this feels harsh after four decades of loyalty. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this now common practice for British expats? Feels like loyalty no longer counts for much in modern banking.

Lee (@LeeCraddock12) reported@JeniWilson8 @BarclaysUK They told me it was an internal e-mail address and a probable staff error. I put in false information and security answers and managed to set up a secure @Barclays e-mail mailbox. I have now made a complaint which has not yet been resolved. The message is actually about the migration of the legacy e-mail accounts to a new system. Pretty boring really and only of interest to a financial intermediary.

Malcolm Bebb (@BebbMalcolm) reported@StuartMaggs @BarclaysUK Since we still had a working bank card, we moved all the money out - it was only a few hundred quid - in cash and opened an account with a different bank. For all I know the Santander bank is still sending stuff to the wrong address.

Brian Wicks (@brian_wicks1969) reported@BarclaysUK Hi, I am having trouble finding the barclays app on the play strore. I am using a new Samsung Galaxy tab 9plus OS 15 with ui and security all upto date. Barclays say the app is compatible with my device but it won't show up on the play store. Help!
