I think the scale of it can be tracked by how many calls last less that a few seconds (due to dead air) or how many pin numbers are requested but not used. (as they are not supplied in time)

Simon Roxburgh (@SimonRoxburgh) reported@bt_uk @BTBusiness shocking service today. Over an hour being bounced between departments, kept on hold, more automated voices, chat bots, crappy apps and all I want to do is talk to someone who can sort things out, properly.
