@traceyfromrasen @Kavismate @SkySportsRacing @RacingTV My Freeview signal can be hopeless at best even connected to Wi-fi but the HDMI/laptop combo works well when the cat isn’t jumping on it !

The EU have managed to get RT off-air in the UK except for Freeview HD by removing the signal from the satellite uplink based in Luxembourg.

Here's the situation: RT is OFF on Sky RT is ON Freeview in HD only (ch113) but off on SD (ch 234) Your mileage may vary depending on your service provider.

@NadineDorries Not much of a restriction, it's still available on Freeview which most people have. Close it down completely.

@Agar5588 @NadineDorries I think that's different to the satellite source being taken down. Sky or Freeview could have acted unilaterally to block broadcast, whereas satellite block removed the option

@virginmedia absolute joke, customer for 20+ yrs, informed services have had a price increase from £99 to £147, rang up to change services to reduce costs, best they can do is Freeview for £89?! Person I spoke to unhelpful and uninterested 🤯

@Agar5588 @NadineDorries Isn't the Freeview a satellite relay broadcast though? I think RT is uploaded to satellite from Moscow, then downloaded to consumer satellite dishes and relay stations for terrestrial broadcast, e.g. via Freeview So removing from the satellite should also take down Freeview
