Susie Burton 🇬🇧🏴 (@SusieWBmeme) reportedMy elderly, widowed neighbour struggles to navigate Freeview. Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly. I honestly believe they’re building to a ‘Logan’s Run’ style of totalitarian State 🤬

Blake (@BlakeAntcliff) reported@SheLovesTweets @theipaper Freely TV's are the same as Freeview and Freesat, the problem is Internet only doesn't take into account people who live in blackspots and barely get anything much better than old school dial up. Nor does it account for anyone who doesn't want/have broadband.

Paul_M_© (@Doub1eHelix) reported@jamzefish @BBCNews Ok, I get that you're talking about unencrypted satellite signals, but these can be controlled. Everyone will have to login to iPlayer for BBC content with some programs requiring a paid subscription. Freeview channels should remain viewable without need for a TV licence.

RednalNut (@RednalNut) reportedThe BBC freeview digital signal is so bad in Devon Pixilated on & off then a complete loss during the England game? All other channels bar BBC2 worked fine. Had to watch on the laggy BBCi player that was also problematic. I paid for this service. Piss poor service.

I was 7. Had nightmares for months, couldn’t tell mom why bc it was rated R & I’d get in trouble Still think its the best horror film.

Popeye (@PopeyeFreeview) reportedThe date of Freeview closure will be revealed in November 2026 by the government. 1 Freeview closure in 2034 more likely 2034 because 6G mobile phone signal will kill all relay Transmitters. 2 Freeview closure in 2044 Only main Transmitters can survive until 2044. Your mobile phone is sharing the same frequency as Freeview Mobile phone Frequency UHF 49 to 69 Freeview Frequency UHF 21 to 48 The future 6G mobile phone Frequency would take most of Freeview space in 2034. Freeview Frequency in 2034 would be UHF 21 to 35 that would close all relay Transmitters

Judith Nicholson (@JudeNicho) reported@cyclingontnt When are the highlight programmes available on HBO Max? I see them on freeview on DMAX at 7pm, but never available on HBO Max other than a 10 min compilation? It's not possible to get the DMAX show on catch up so it's quite poor compared to before moving to HBO.
