@Randominium @Daodaoldn @ajcdeane A TV Licence covers you to: watch or record TV on any channel via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, Freeview, Freesat) watch live on streaming services (e.g. ITVX, All 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now, Sky Go) use BBC iPlayer*. This applies to any device.

@KevinPMeagher @BriW74 It's 'The Eagle Has Landed', on BBC Four, right now, and i-Player for a few weeks' - complete with Donald Sutherland and ludicrously bad 'Irish' accent. No sign of 'Where Eagles' Dare' on any of the Freeview channels for the next while.

@Dnewton99886451 @ColinBrazierTV Unfortunately you still need a licence if you watch Freeview. I don't even have that. I don't have an aerial & just have the Netflix, Prime, Disney & YouTube apps on my tv. I have the Apple TV app atm as I get it free with my phone contact til mid April but I never even watch it.

@kelvmackenzie Can anyone answer a question for me? If the TV licence is specifically for the BBC, why must I pay for a TV licence if I "watch or record TV on any channel - via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, BT, Freeview, Freesat)" I don't ever watch BBC channels or use iPlayer....????
