@MrCoolHandLuke @PairoMayniaq @Telegraph Much of the country can't and will never get Freeview or full fibre broadband. In future it will be the same with 4G and 5G and whatever comes next.

Nooooo just lost our TV signal in the middle of @TheRepairShop Christmas programme. Freeview signal out across much of Cambs but until this minute we'd been ok. Thank heavens for iPlayer so we can see the rest later.

@FollowerAndy0 @jimwaterson Yes but won't piping it through Sky, Freeview etc massively mitigate the risk of it breaking down?

@GMB @susannareid100 Cancel Sky for starters. Loads of good stuff on Freeview. Those £60 trainers little Chantelle wants? Don't buy them. Cook from scratch. Get a big bag of spuds and a tin of corned beef and do potato hash. Live within your means.

@joti261 @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS STUPID!! GB News is not a satellite channel; it is free to air on Freeview.

@Dolly_Darren Ok. Mine did the same to me. I switched it off at the mains (along with the Freeview box), promised never to watch ITV3 again, left it for about an hour and when I switched it back on it came back to life. Sadly, not designed to last now!

@DerSchwarzBaron @U_didnt_saythat Yeah think that's the problem. Because GAA sold rights to Sky, sky block it on the RTE channel. Not sure if you can watch it on Freeview or not. But this is what happens when sports do big TV deals.

@joti261 @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS Typical idiot Remoaner, you must have found a way to cancel your Freeview then because it's on there too.

With a rising British star it's important her finals are accessible free to air. Eurosport may use Quest for them, but they're likely to lose their HD channel soon thanks to slow and regressive progress on switching Freeview to HD.

@annafriel Just a heads up that a repeat showing of the series "Broken" starts tonight at 9.20 pm on Channel 20 (Drama) on Freeview in the UK. That's all.
