@RickSacrop @neal_preshner Hmm, where I live can’t get Freeview signal, still have to pay licence fee. I have to pay for Sky so I can watch TV, hardly fair in my book. Sooner it’s scrapped the better!

@Van7212 I did the same a while ago, much cheaper to get the streaming services you want and an excellent broadband service. The kids were fine, they never watch anything live. sky news etc are on freeview anyway.

The Bilsdale Quarry temporary transmitter failed at just before 1:45pm this afternoon. Freeview is advising affected viewers to not retune. Normal service continues from relay transmitters in the area, which are using a satellite back-up to maintain services.

Shocked that @footballheaven had Donny on Freeview yesterday. No idea what digital radio is like in Sheffield area but I can confirm that even awful MW is more reliable than FM in many parts of Sheffield and freeview is the only way to get audible commentaries for many #sufc

Wait. I've been talking to workmates, & it turns out that people who don't have vodafoneTV (RIP) or old mysky: (a) watch freeview LIVE with ADVERTS (wtf) (b) or ONLY watch things on streaming (c) and just accept they can't record+rewind TV (d) use an aerial or sat dish. REALLY?
