@ofcom If your broadband goes down report it with your mobile. If, like Vodaphone, both go down, use your landline. No. That's on broadband too. Oh well, watch Freeview ... no that's going soon with Freely. Can you see why moving to 100% broadband delivery is not a good idea?

@LeilaniDowding Also the BBC are on Freeview and that is a free to view service. The BBC are pay to view. They SHOULD NOT BE ON FREEVIEW.

  • TommyTucker091 Tommy Tucker (@TommyTucker091) reported

@CapelLofft Never underestimate them. A good way to combat it is feing ignorance. You don't have a smartphone, you have no computers. Never been much into that stuff. You just have a plain telly and freeview box. No internet. And you don't have BBC, or a smart meter.

@narindertweets @StephenNolan While your at the BBC tell them to get off Freeview as it’s a free to view service. The BBC are PAY TO VIEW

@yhdistyminen Hi, Roman historian here, uhm actually HBO was only for the Equites class, and Freeview was patchy (at best) in Germania and Hispania. I suggest you read a book and educate yourself. Glad I could help 👍

The SBN Network, which broadcasts on Freeview channel 94, is scheduled to close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. This closure is part of a series of changes to Freeview channels, which may require viewers to retune their televisions to update their channel lists. The announcement follows other recent channel adjustments, including the removal of several channels and the introduction of new services. Viewers are advised to check their devices and retune as necessary to continue accessing available channels.

Dear Elon Musk, Will starlink help me get good reception for Freeview? I’m fed up of having to access widgets and apps to watch live TV. I just want a regular TVguide so I can make a decision in one place like I used to have with an aerial. Thank you, Michelle Speller

  • Nigelh7n Nigel Hurneyman (@Nigelh7n) reported

@Ofcom Is this going to further reduce #Freeview's terrestrial service?

  • ArghhTom Tom James (@ArghhTom) reported

@gozzand @Jenny_1884 Because it costs money to keep the freeview service live. It, Channels 4 and 5 etc. already pay their share to keep Freeview running. If the BBC stops contributing they will have to pay more.

  • cordbusters Cord Busters UK (@cordbusters) reported

So during the big Vodafone meltdown yesterday, we had no internet at all (not on my phone either, because it uses Vodafone's network as well). So I had to... watch Freeview with an aerial, to make sure the world did not come to an end. Raising a glass to Freeview today!
