RednalNut (@RednalNut) reportedThe BBC freeview digital signal is so bad in Devon Pixilated on & off then a complete loss during the England game? All other channels bar BBC2 worked fine. Had to watch on the laggy BBCi player that was also problematic. I paid for this service. Piss poor service.

You can opt out n if you donโt do the above. So it is not a tax for simply owning a TV

Call me old-fashioned, but TV was much better years ago and most of the Freeview channels are sheer crap!

If you have a lower use broadband package you will need to pay for unlimited use. That could hit people on lower incomes. Also had to reboot it a few times, too technical for some.

However the 'Freely' service currently being touted to replace Freeview in about 15 years time IS a streamed service which WILL be available via set top boxes/inbuilt IP provision in TV sets and probably an 'App'.
