  My elderly, widowed neighbour struggles to navigate Freeview. Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly. I honestly believe they’re building to a ‘Logan’s Run’ style of totalitarian State 🤬

  @HelenFish249972 I don’t even think I pay for mine. I had Freeview for years, then Sky had a good deal as a new customer, I went to cancel this year as I’d had it two years and they basically kept it at the same price again. It was actually a few quid lower. I only pay £20 odd the internet, and

  Worst case scenario on That's TV channels on Freeview I'm posting this because Freeview channel 75 That's Entertainment deadline is over and nothing been broadcasting yet the deadline was on Wednesday 22nd July 2026. Freeview channel 7 & 8 That's Local channels are not affected by this. All That's channels on Freeview will be removed from the EPG without notice.   @ollocoll Bring in food stamps. No car, only able to watch freeview, no internet, family of 5 should only get a 3 bed house and use bunk beds. No holidays. No phone contracts. They get a government issue phone. We need to stop rewarding laziness. People with disabilities can have luxuries.

  @FractalDoctor @DailyMail TV and radio is all that many elderly people have for comfort, especially living on their own with limited mobility, so yes, taking away Freeview is a bad idea. I doubt if too many 80 to 90 year olds have a fast broadband connection !

  What happened last night? Mon aug 3? Freeview on band 4 uhf just stopped in the cm3 area. The tropo map was a bit messy, a d there was very little sporadic e showing. The blackout was total but it's all back now. Are you aware of any transmission failure? However a crucial Star Trek Enterprise episode on Sky mix at 11:00 p.m. failed to record, and retrieving it requires a Paramount subscription! @FreeviewAdvice
