@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

  • Davidp1103 David-19 (@Davidp1103) reported from Gravesend, England

@TalkTalk It would be nice if you could reduce or remove a £40 charge for an engineer who called but made no inspection of equipment, explained that Freeview channels had been altered; a fact that your customer services were not aware of, but should have known.

  • Davidp1103 Davidp (@Davidp1103) reported from Snodland, England

Continually frustrated by @TalkTalk and its inconsistent service and performance. Have today purchased a freeview recorder to replace their box and will be actively looking for new broadband provider.

The only other thing I will say is that practically, it's also a tax on simply owning a tele. Because I can't just have a tv in my house and enjoy freeview and theoretically never watch the BBC, you still get charged. you can't opt out of the BBC and enjoy freeview

  • ftakeith richard parkes (@ftakeith) reported

@ZoeJardiniere @FreeviewTV in the UK is saved until 2037, @NadineDorries has to scrap the freeview/BBC at the same time, this is like immigration, solution to immigration is short term visas for unfortunate refugees into the UK

  • Gary1609 Gary #JohnsonOut (@Gary1609) reported

@Eyeswideopen69 @carol_casey1 @caporicci_r Should that not be a choice though? You are talking about forcing everyone to have a TV License even if they do not watch BBC but watch other freeview channels. Its like saying sky has the best of movies so you must pay even if you do not use the service.

  • pjtobin00 Paddy (@pjtobin00) reported

@AudsDisease @SkyNews Do you listen to the radio? Or perhaps watch Freeview? The BBC help maintain the Freeview network.

  • pjtobin00 Paddy (@pjtobin00) reported

License fee also goes into the Freeview network, free children education. Wanting to get rid of it because it reports news, that some people don’t like, is tyrannical #GMB

  • Gus_preston Gus (@Gus_preston) reported

@Michael37822549 @ChrisMousse3 @JuliaHB1 So you're happy paying a licence fee if it gets spent on other things than just the BBC? What about the support of the Freeview network that allows free-to-air TV to he broadcast. Or the broadband roll-out. Or SC4? That's not a Welsh language station.

  • pwatson1974 Paul Watson (@pwatson1974) reported

@Lifeson90 @greg_jenner So what’s the better alternative that keeps all the non-subscription friendly services like Freeview or the transmitter network?

  • gardner_sd stuart gardner (@gardner_sd) reported

@VirtuaMcPolygon @byford_ian @DavidLammy Doesn’t part of the license fee go towards maintaining the transmission network for freeview?

  • ukLibertoryan Libertoryan (@ukLibertoryan) reported

@gro_edu @COYR26 @DeborahMeaden Liar. Freeview is jointly owned by all the main broadcasters including Sky and the network is operated by another company.

  • am_henderson Al Henderson (@am_henderson) reported

@tafallen Don't they also maintain the freeview transmitter network?
