@TalkTalk It would be nice if you could reduce or remove a £40 charge for an engineer who called but made no inspection of equipment, explained that Freeview channels had been altered; a fact that your customer services were not aware of, but should have known.

@Complyorcry @Back_Two_Mee To @TalkTalk they are okay but the broadband is not a good as VM but it's okay; it cut the monthly bill in half. I have since dropped their tv service and bought a freeview recorder. Monthly bill for broadband/phone £38

This privatisation of Ch4, would include the stake in freeview that is part owned between BBC, ITV and CH4, another terrible idea, from our government of terrible ideas.

@BlueTinted_LB @sidcelery @grahamefendle HD channels on Freeview usually better than equivalent on Freesat as there’s no compression. (I always switch from satellite to freeview to watch stuff on bbc for this reason) *signal can degrade so depends on distance from transmitter and other disclaimers.

@ciscokid1690ao1 @SkySports There are. But that would then involve watching something transmitted by Our Sly. I used to pay £90 a month for what was essentially Freeview. Cancelled it. Never looked back.

@edmorrish @jonholmes1 @IanDunt I don't know how it would work but if you've paid the licence fee you should be able to access BBC TV shows however you want. Freeview, Sky, Virgin whatever. Youtube is a little more complicated but it's annoying BBC TV catch-up doesn't work properly on Sky.

@Andrea25079843 Ditched Virgin a couple of weeks ago. Our freeview signal is poor but we haven't missed 'normal TV ' as we have Netflix Etc. Although I did miss watching Palace stuff the Gunners on Monday night. Also ditched phone line as we never use it except to recieve calls from scammers

@Andrea25079843 We default to Netflix on such occasions, for content. We also make extensive use of Freeview and iPlayer to serve we parents and our juniors' TV ration. I can't speak to what specific content floats your boat Andrea, but Netflix is our go to subscription and cancel service.

Made the mistake of watching the WDF Darts World Championship on 'Quest' (12, Freeview). It's SO slow that one of the players had a hairline when the match started. Though, the action (if you can call it that) is still better that Paul Nicholson's commentary...
