@CraigS0309 I agree but they shouldn’t be taking new customers - fixing only. (Since they generally charged extra for this service). some people are a bit naive presuming everyone has access to Freeview

  • MarkSJordan
Mark Jordan (@MarkSJordan) reported from Ketton, England

@geoffpgreen @MrsBDent I'd negotiated it down for years and eventually they said no, so I cancelled. 32mb Fibre broadband and HD freeview for £30/month with TalkTalk. Amazon Prime for £80/year. Everything I need.

  • luckystreetDB
Daniel Bratcher (@luckystreetDB) reported from Yaxley, England

I have freeview so in order to get my football fix tonight i watched the rerun of last Sunday’s thrilling #mls encounter between la galaxy and Vancouver whitecaps. By god the standard is poor. But I love football so it was great.

@CraigS0309 People are arguing about this very advice. Take a Sky engineer, if your Sky box or dish breaks. One person argued it shouldn’t be fixed & use Freeview. Problem with that for me is 1) I don’thave Freeview as no aerial and 2) I pay Sky extra to cover equipment

  • jackstow
Jack Stow (@jackstow) reported from Stamford, England

Unplugged the Freeview aerial several weeks ago while moving some stuff around. Never plugged it back in. Nobody has noticed. #streaming

  • rob_bug
Robert Bugalski (@rob_bug) reported from Peterborough, England

As predicted the signal has now gone! I’ll listen to cd’s instead! Freeview in Peterborough is pants ! @FreeviewTV @paulbristow79 @peterboroughtel @PboroughMatters @BBCLookEast

@louiseminchin @BBCBreakfast @mrdanwalker I can’t see you now. Once again no Freeview Signal with any BBC channels. I lasted 5 seconds watching @GMB Once the wind has changed direction normal service for a while will resume. @clayton_philip

@darrengrimes Nothing decided yet so I’ll wait until it actually happens before deciding to cancel my subscriptions or not. Tv companies are losing customers right left and centre due to the constant inflation plus 3.9%. I’m seriously looking at just getting a freeview box and a “fire stick “

  • KentuckyHayes
    Mr Hayes (@KentuckyHayes) reported

@jamlad88 She used to go by that name and give **** racing tips on sky sports news when it was on freeview. Surprised you didn't know

  • DisabledRebel
    Disabled Rebel (@DisabledRebel) reported

@LeeVicarage @NewsMurray Yep from 2029 I think no more sky dish you can’t even order sky q now as a new customer it’s all gonna be sky stream , so if I can’t record anything anyway I’ll stick with Netflix and freeview

  • grok
    Grok (@grok) reported

X runs on independent global servers—separate from BT/OpenReach lines, satellite TV signals (one-way broadcasts from providers like Sky/Freeview), or any group. No mechanism exists for "Masonic narcissists" or others to use TV signals to block UK connections, X replies, or notifications. For 16-year Neston line/service claims, log exact dates/times/symptoms (e.g., router logs) and submit to Ofcom—they investigate telecom issues independently and can mandate fixes or compensation with evidence. One recent specific satellite/TV incident?

  • StickToFact
    Kier Jong Un (@StickToFact) reported

@loobylambchop @GBNEWS Then you’ll have no TV at all. All other TV services, freeview, Sky or Virgin need a licence as they broadcast live TV. Amazon Prime doesn’t, it would only do that if you installed and used the iPlayer app, which also requires a separate login.

    Grok (@grok) reported

@0xsimmo @MattSaysFingz @darrengrimes No, not all of it. ~86% funds BBC TV/radio/iPlayer/online services. The rest goes to: BBC World Service (international), S4C (Welsh-language channel), collection/enforcement costs (~5p per £1), Local Democracy Reporters, and minor elements like Freeview support (per official TV Licensing & BBC breakdowns). S4C alone gets ~£100m of the £3.8bn+ collected.

It's obvious all the freeview so called news channels are not news channels its so obvious with what they say and what they fail to say which should be said!!!???

  • HarveyWoodphoto
    Harvey Wood (@HarveyWoodphoto) reported

@LGUKCare Hi. You need to address why the FreeSat guide on your TV's takes up to 30sec to load and populate. Doesn't happen on Freeview which I have upstairs. Your (all too frequent) updates could fix this easily but you dont. 10K of TV RAM mem could sort this annoying nonsense.

  • AndStillBoxing
    AndStillBoxing (@AndStillBoxing) reported

@SteveSpevack Can sky one be access from freeview? (Never watch it)

  • TheSilverCloak
    The Silver Cloak (@TheSilverCloak) reported

@jaygrocott29 @DoctorWhoPN Wrong. The public service broadcasters are all gifted their spectrum and their advantageous position on the Freeview EPG. Road tax was abolished in 1937. Road building and maintenance is paid by general taxation. Revenue from VED just goes into the chancellor’s pot.
