Tracey Davies (@miss_traceydav) reported from Corby, England@CraigS0309 I agree but they shouldn’t be taking new customers - fixing only. (Since they generally charged extra for this service). some people are a bit naive presuming everyone has access to Freeview
-
Tracey Davies (@miss_traceydav) reported from Corby, England@CraigS0309 People are arguing about this very advice. Take a Sky engineer, if your Sky box or dish breaks. One person argued it shouldn’t be fixed & use Freeview. Problem with that for me is 1) I don’thave Freeview as no aerial and 2) I pay Sky extra to cover equipment

Mark Jordan (@MarkSJordan) reported from Ketton, England@geoffpgreen @MrsBDent I'd negotiated it down for years and eventually they said no, so I cancelled. 32mb Fibre broadband and HD freeview for £30/month with TalkTalk. Amazon Prime for £80/year. Everything I need.

Jack Stow (@jackstow) reported from Stamford, EnglandUnplugged the Freeview aerial several weeks ago while moving some stuff around. Never plugged it back in. Nobody has noticed. #streaming

South Wales Pragmatist (@WalesPragmatist) reported@alunsays @EnglandRugby Not in HD on Freeview. For a premium match it's a poor effort from ITV, like watching TV in the 90s...
-
jason_mi7 (@Mi7Jason) reported@WhichUK For live events, internet speed isn’t everything. For reliability and lowest delay, broadcast TV still wins: Freeview, satellite or cable. Fibre streaming is great but usually behind “live”. 5G/4G/Starlink can work well, but depend more on signal, congestion and load.
-
Tom (@TomCushnie) reported@SW18_67FC @johnrobinson07 It's not more saturated too, it's shot in a Full Range and de-converted down to Limited Range to fit in our poor freeview infrastructure, it makes red and yellows considerably crushed. That's why the Holland game looked the worse so far
-
LDH Marketing (@LDHMarketing) reported@BENEFITS_NEWS It also eats up a lot of your broadband. No problem if you're on an unlimited package, but for people on cheaper, restricted usage packages, that will cost. Freely is good where reception is poor, but Freeview is still needed.
-
Michael McCartney (@MickeyMcCartney) reported@drummergirl2000 I know! No Food Network either (my fave!) signals for those channels on Council Telly (Freeview) must be v weak
-
codfish 🧶 (@codfish246) reported@4doorsmorepaws ah that makes sense! never looked into whether freesat got more channels than freeview but i'm assuming it was probably just a signal thing more than anything else lol that sucks 😭 I only remember having to that with analog tv for a while and then I guess we got our aerial fixed
-
Velvettoatone (@TeamMPTS1) reportedAnother stupid idea is the 2034 plan to turn off Freeview. In no way will rural broadband be up to providing reliable services by then..the same applies to FM/MW radio. It's ridiculous meanness dressed up as 'progress' @SarahChampionMP @KarlTurnerMP @lukeakehurst
-
Kier Jong Un (@StickToFact) reported@loobylambchop @GBNEWS Then you’ll have no TV at all. All other TV services, freeview, Sky or Virgin need a licence as they broadcast live TV. Amazon Prime doesn’t, it would only do that if you installed and used the iPlayer app, which also requires a separate login.
-
Paul_M_© (@Doub1eHelix) reported@jamzefish @BBCNews Ok, I get that you're talking about unencrypted satellite signals, but these can be controlled. Everyone will have to login to iPlayer for BBC content with some programs requiring a paid subscription. Freeview channels should remain viewable without need for a TV licence.

Matt Huisman (@MattHuismanNZ) reported@tdbnz123 @ThreeNewZealand @BravoTV Please check their official website / freeview apps. I think its down for everyone so a them problem
