@chrvashby07 Thanks for letting us know Chris, we'll pass this onto the tech team to look into. Were you watching live on Freeview or using another service?

  • storey966 Tynmar (@storey966) reported

@DaveMcleanComms That is your choice. But many people rely on the BBC as a free to air public broadcasting service. Its a bit like paying your National Insurance & choosing to pay medical insurance to go private instead of using the NHS. Also, you get to watch all the freeview channels as well.

@FreeviewAdvice hi there, I have had no freeview signal throughout my entire house since this morning, can't see any outages mentioned on the site so I was wondering if you could help?

  • lewysstacey Andrew Harris (@lewysstacey) reported

@SteffApCennydd @shearersbuddy @Inandoutagain But the BBC set up britbox a subscription service easy enough. The other Freeview channels can stay where they are free of charge.

  • a_parandroid paranoidedededed (@a_parandroid) reported

@BBCNews the price isn't a dealbreaker, although if they stopped aggressively bullying those who own a tv but don't watch freeview, they would save a shitload of money and could afford to bring the license fee down, which would be nice

  • SteffApCennydd SteffApCennydd (@SteffApCennydd) reported

@lewysstacey A streaming vod service is relatively easy to set up. But changing Freeview's architecture isn't as simple as a block on BBC channels. It all gets switched to subs or not at all. It would mean forcing a lot of people to buy new gear to watch something they're already paying for.

@hauchmagandy @GBNEWS The idea of an unbiased and independent news channel has never been tried in the UK. I'm interested in seeing how it looks... but not at the expense of having Sky, a Freeview box or paying the BBC **** tax.

  • moore241128 John Moore (@moore241128) reported

@HXValley @tnewtondunn @TimesRadio .......and makes a contribution to Freeview and Freesat so makes me laugh when you hear folks say I never watch anything licence fee related

  • Bruce43454388 Bruce (@Bruce43454388) reported

@BBCNews BBC, I will delete all BBC channels from my channel list on my Freeview TV so then I don't have to pay the TV licence because basically BBC is just a load of crap anyway including biased news. I don't watch sport so have no interest in paying for something I don't watch.

  • YouViewSupport YouView (@YouViewSupport) reported

@Smudge1979 Hi Mark. Any channel changes are done by Freeview rather than us. It's likely that it's been moved to a different channel group (MUX) which has a weaker signal than what it was on previously so other channels in the same group e.g BBC News HD will also have a weak signal.
