  People who have Freeview - is it just a one off cost for the box or subscription and can you record stuff? (Am trying to figure out tv options and can't get virgin and sky i think you need a dish. Aerial is crap here)

  @GBPolitcs Why should I pay a tax for a service I choose not to use? If I choose Sky, TNT, Paramount, Disney, Netflix ect. I pay for it. The ones I don’t pay for (Freeview services) are funded by advertising. Frankly the public funding for C4 should be revoked too.

  @GSpellchecker We’re not in a good tv reception area, and used freesat but the dish kept playing up. In desperation I tried an old, small and powered internal tv ariel that plugs directly into the tv and sits next to it, and we get a perfect freeview signal. Worth a go before spending loads.

  @easternsparkle @Felstedboy We have Freesat, not Freeview, but can't you scroll down the TV guide to see where it is? I can on Freesat through my TV.

  @archivetvmus71 I adored The Rockford Files. Garner was superb. Can't understand why it never gets any repeats on any of the Freeview channels.

  @Argos_Online Help, we bought a @HisenseUK TV completely miss-sold. While technically there is no 'fault', this TV does not work as described. You need an internet connection for their rip-off version of freeview. it doesn't say that in the description.

  @skytv everyone boycot sky and cancel subscription, since they want to ban freeview and get proplr to join there service . this is not acceptable

  @jdpoc My elderly neighbours will be lost without Freeview. To be honest it’s also the back up for many Virgin and Sky subscribers when their systems go down.

  @kenton1206 I must be the only person on the planet that doesn't have any subscription TV service and only have freeview!
