Not at all surprised to find that @itvx is a pile of rubbish. Not integrated into Freeview Play's TV guide, no Channel list in the app's UI, so using it for catch up is a pain in the neck. Didn't they do any usability tests? Unbelievably bad. That's if it loads... #itvx

@danwootton Tell us, we're you Exec Editor of the Sun last year when it put up its price by 5p a day, which is 30p a week, which is £15.60 a year? Were you outraged then? Or are you just trying to hawk your new bosses channel by playing down something which cofunds Freeview?

  • stellastar12 stella (@stellastar12) reported

@danwootton I know I will be hated but £159 a yr not so bad in my book. I pay for no other tv. No sky, Netflix or any other that some say you can't live without. I have 5 terrestrial channels plus freeview more than enough channels

  • gibluap Paul Riley (@gibluap) reported

@SmoothRadio trying to listen via Freeview channel 718, reception has been poor for the last 14 days sometimes to the point of crap, Location Warwick via Sutton Coldfield, internet radio is the same.

  • Daverjr David_bythesea (@Daverjr) reported

@annrnic1 But freeview isn’t a universal service U.K. wide. How many chs you get depends on which transmitter your tv antenna points at. For example, where I live we don’t get sky news on freeview.

  • lewysstacey Andrew Harris (@lewysstacey) reported

@SteffApCennydd @shearersbuddy @Inandoutagain But the BBC set up britbox a subscription service easy enough. The other Freeview channels can stay where they are free of charge.

  • a_parandroid paranoidedededed (@a_parandroid) reported

@BBCNews the price isn't a dealbreaker, although if they stopped aggressively bullying of those who own a tv but don't watch freeview, the would bring the license fee down.

  • plc69 ≋ P ≋ a ≋ u ≋ l ≋ (@plc69) reported

@MoneySavingExp 1. Cancel Sky. Freeview plus Netflix costs less than £10/month. 2. Cook everything fresh, stop buying ready meals. 3. Get a SIM-Only contract (£6/month) rather than an expensive contract. 4. Overpay the mortgage every month. Treat it like a bill. 5. Pay off credit cards in full.

  • MartinC93414706 Martin (@MartinC93414706) reported from Lambeth, England

@channel5_tv is the worst for catch up tv via your app or freeview. Just can’t find programmes sometimes. Trying to find Sally Lindsays posh sleepover. C4, itv and BBC never ever have a problem with. I give up with C5

  • nerd_political Political Nerd (@nerd_political) reported

@nosketandrugby @DimarcoRichard @YouGov If I cancel netflix I can still watch channel 4,itv or all the other freeview channels which use an advertiser model.

  • HOWJORD Howard (@HOWJORD) reported

@darkcompass @AbuIbsu @BBCNews It would be nice if you actually had a choice. Buy if you want Freeview without the BBC you still have to pay as there's no way to turn it off. It should be a subscription service.
