People who have Freeview - is it just a one off cost for the box or subscription and can you record stuff? (Am trying to figure out tv options and can't get virgin and sky i think you need a dish. Aerial is crap here)

@ladymcbethany Yes, compact and old style with a set-top box. Same in the kitchen, for convenience. Main tv and kitchen run off the big digital aerial with a signal splitter/booster. Bedroom runs off original analogue aerial but still a perfect picture. No Sky TV: Freeview more than adequate.

@BelfastBhoy86 One of the most disappointing films ever. Too slow and the story telling is all over the place. Felt like a pish docu-drama on one of those crime channels on Freeview.

@ArchRose90 Freeview recorders would face the same dilemma. Prob easier to simply replace the unit for a new design with a card reader integrated. U.K. also has the FreeSat (free satellite) service which has identical issues. Sky + cable users could simply add BBC to their current package.

@higgy365 @SkyArts The bad news is, it's nearly finished. I didn't realise until last week that @SkyArts is now on Freeview

It's been nearly two years now and @LGUKCare still haven't fixed the problem with hybrid streaming channels (225-256). It previously claimed that it was the format of the channels, but Freeview has confirmed they are all in HBB now, yet they still come up as "Invalid Service" 1/2

@LGUK I too am waiting for all of the UK catchup apps to be available on my 2020 LG TV. Is this issue an issue with FreeView and £££s?

@MrsAstronaut S & H is currently on Sony something on Freeview. I'm so sorry to report that it's utterly awful - hasn't lasted the passing of time.

Hi @discoveryplus quick question. Watched "My Greatest Dishes" ep3 & ep4 tonight on Food Network via Freeview. So if i want to watch them again if i didn't record them, i have to pay to do so, even though it's a Freeview channel? I assume adverts aren't taken out of paid eps??

Chris Merriman (@ChrisTheDJ) reported
These are @FreeviewTV channels, and if my TV can't pick them up, surely LG shouldn't be advertising the models as Freeview compatible? Enough excuses LG - fix it, or swap out the affected models. 2/2

@KeersMatt @steve_race BBC is 💩 compared to Netflix 🏅 £120/yr for the latter with option to cancel without prejudice. I don't have any TV channels / Freeview / iPlayer / Sky / Virgin / BT TV & don't watch live shows etc but have to pay a licence or risk prosecution? 'splain that one please 🤔
