@TheDaiLlew It took me so long to get out of being a Virgin customer. I eventually got out of the grind by getting a satellite dish installed via BT (as a new customer for the a year) then buying a Freeview box. Now I just have to get the Internet from somewhere and can shop around. Pob lwc!

@BlitzExternals Hi, there. If the TV isn't letting you accept the Freeview Play Terms and Conditions, check to see if there's a software update available for the TV. Otherwise, you'll need to contact the TVs manufacturer for further support. Fraser

@HisenseGlobal I have just bought a Hisense smart tv. Was told by the shop it has freeview. However, it’s freeview plus which seems to mean I can only watch tv through the individual channel apps and not able to get a tv listings of all channels to scroll through. Can you help?

  • richtea78 richtea78 (@richtea78) reported

@p4G3y30 @MartinSLewis If you watch or record TV on any channel via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, Freeview, Freesat), you need to be covered by a TV Licence. You don’t need a TV Licence if you never watch live on any channel, TV service or streaming service, or use BBC iPlayer*. On any device.

  • thhamilton Tom Hamilton (@thhamilton) reported

@GidonFreeman @MattRogerson The issue is the aerial (irrelevant for streamed programming) not the presence or absence of a freeview box.

  • TommyRethink Tommy Flanagan (@TommyRethink) reported

We have an old DTT freeview box in our cord-never house that only makes special appearances every two years, when the old girl is dusted off for the World Cup and the Euros. Tells you all you need to know about reliability of live streaming services for footy. Anyone else?
