@james_blue_cat Can't afford any streaming service or the hardware upgrade to accommodate one. Freeview and iPlayer is enough. Didn't switch telly on Xmas day and Bob and Paul going fishing was my highlight.

@JennieStrife Digital freeview is still transmitted through aerials, so yeah they still work. You just need to have a freeview enabled TV or a set-top box, old TV's can't pick up the signal.

@BootstrapCook I have a traditional aerial in the loft which runs down to a socket in the lounge, which works for Freeview. Upstairs I have an electrical aerial amplifier for the same.

Double standards in this house, she's sat with candles lit, drinking gin, watching basically porn dressed up as a love story on Netflix, never said a word. I got caught watching the television X Freeview years back and she called me a fat ***** #365daysThisDay

Camilla West (@CamillaWest) reported
@BootstrapCook I did this for my mum after she had a falling out with all the cable/phone companies. Had to get a booster areal but got all the freeview channels and just went weird and pixelated in very bad weather!

@kieronmirch @TheNewsDesk It really doesn’t look or sound amazing on freeview. I’m not sure I can watch if the quality stays like this, I’m used to seeing tv in HD not blurry with awful sound

Allan Hawxby (@goldwinggl1500) reported
@TalkTV tried watching on Freeview. Picture quality is terrible not clear at all. Sound quality is so bad and distorted. Can't watch it it's that bad.

@scottiepark45 @BBCSportScot I agree, I'd much rather it was freeview, but 2 things: 1)It isn't the SFA that sold the rights it was UEFA, so not much could be done about it 2)There have been 'positive' talks about free to air games, which never happened with Sky Hopefully it ends up being better for the fans

@RossMcCaff If internationals can’t be ring-fenced for freeview, surely to **** it can at least be required to be shown on actual television instead of some shite streaming thing.

Brad Macpherson (@BradMacpherson5) reported
@BootstrapCook If the TV's relatively new it should have a built-in Freeview tuner. The aerial might be more of a problem though depending on how good a signal you get - digital's more sensitive than analogue, a poor signal makes it unwatchable rather than just snowy.
