Richard Seamon (@Crewedaddy) reported from Crewe, England@james_blue_cat Can't afford any streaming service or the hardware upgrade to accommodate one. Freeview and iPlayer is enough. Didn't switch telly on Xmas day and Bob and Paul going fishing was my highlight.

It's not on Freeview or cable or satliight in the north and saorview is limited in Co Down due to morne mountain shadow. Not the promotion the Tailteann cup was promised

Schemie Goblyn (@SchemieG) reported@_Leyanelle_ @DaveyTheTroll Stv player had a major habit of freezing randomly then utterly crashing comedically large parts of Dundee down by the Tay are served by the relay transmitter at Tay bridge on the fife side which has a significantly reduced freeview service compared to rest of Dundee

Mad as Hell 😡😡😡 (@CanDisagree) reported@ryantegan @skytv The majority of the hundreds of channels they offer are standard definition, rolling repeat or Freeview channels. Most movies are on Netflix a month later too. Cancel the lot and get a firestick. It's illegal, but so are Sky's rip off prices.

Freeview is the biggest digital platform in the U.K. - used by a lot of peoole aged 60, a % of the licence fee helps maintain that service. 1/2

Susie Burton 🇬🇧🏴 (@SusieWBmeme) reportedMy elderly, widowed neighbour struggles to navigate Freeview. Her smart TV supports Netflix, Prime, Sky, but even if she could afford those platforms, she would be terrified of touching a different button on the remote. She sleeps very little and the TV is her only companion. If she can’t return to her familiar menu, she panics. I’ve had desperate calls from her in the evening, petrified that she’s ‘broken’ her TV. She never has, but her swollen arthritic fingers struggle with the tiny, spongy remote buttons. It’s heartbreaking 🥹. The @LabourParty DO NOT GIVE A **** about the vulnerable and elderly. I honestly believe they’re building to a ‘Logan’s Run’ style of totalitarian State 🤬
