Why is the government trying to get rid freeview now? The BBC, channel 4, all want the channels via streaming only. So they can clamp down on tv license via ip addresses, more like. There's a petition to block it. Google freeview petition and sign it!

@chellew_grant @_MaccaNZ Which started about the turn of the century, that's when I stopped getting the paper and gave away my freeview box. Only watch MSM news when I'm at my parents & as of last night that will be never again. Do we have to go through 45 yrs worth of tyranny to ride against the system?

Wherever you can watch Free TV. Isn't Freely free TV 🤔 When TLC was launched on Freely channel 17 it's not really Freely it's more Freeview. Anything that comes from an aerial is Freeview and not Freely. Misleading channel like Rewind TV say we are on Freely channel 141 how many viewers watch Rewind TV on Freely maybe 1%. Most Freely viewers don't access to an aerial. Freely is really good in Freeview lite areas because Freeview lite areas have hardly any channels and the signal is very poor when high pressure comes in and relay Transmitters have hardly any power. The range of relay Transmitters is about 5 miles and the main Transmitters range is about 45 miles. The main Transmitters kills most of the relay Transmitters in high pressure conditions this is when Freely comes into action with no interference from the weather.

@leethommo I suppose it was the best of a bad job, the rest of the TV schedule (especially for tight wads like me who just have Freeview) was pretty appalling. Lots probably just watch out of habit (that’s kind of what we do). It was pretty grim though.

@FreeviewTV WHY is Freeview absolutely terrible in Wrexham. LL14 can't get any of the HD channels 101, 102, 103, 104 not been working for ages. @wrexham #wrexham

@Lettiejp @AdeGardens @BBCNewsnight The BBC could encrypt its signals tomorrow - technically it's trivial to implement on both iPlayer and Freeview. But they continue to lie about this and to make excuses. I guess when your product is so poor, forcing people to pay for it makes sense. No-one would subscribe to BBC!

@FreeviewAdvice In 2036 approx when a future government switches off Freeview, will we need to buy ‘Smart’ TVs to watch the proposed internet service? If not, how will we watch internet tv on our current TVs? I watch terrestrial television, not satellite. @DCMS #savefreeview

@Strange_G @sootytweet But Freeview etc still broadcasts their garbage. If we have this garbage I’d like to have the RT garbage to compare garbage
