@Alexand85266011 @femme_uk @GBNEWS Freeview isn't very reliable for me either. I'm only 10 miles [as the crow flies] from the South Yorkshire Transmitter, yet I can only receive 6 of the 15 HD channels available. BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 and CBBC. The signal quality/strength is on average 80%.

RT just stopped transmission on Freeview. Increasingly detached from reality in last few years and unwatchable this week, but the danger of censoring news is it works both ways. Now all indie media in Moscow has been shut down and western media will be harder to see. Who judges..

@andyarmit @goddersbloom It's now gone from Freeview, I expect it was taking its feed from the Astra satellite signal.

@BreakIntoProg Went down at about 1645 when they lost their SES feed. Without the Astra satellite they can't feed the Freeview platform.

@FreeviewTV why has RT been removed from freeview? We live in a democracy where we should be able to hear all sides to a narrative, even if we don't agree with it. Are we going down the Covid route of one sided info? Let us choose what to watch and

@yotanka77 It's free and will be available to you once it starts up. Freeview is a free range of channels including the mainstream channels. You can open an account with the service without a fee I believe (don't quote me on that)

Marvelbeast (@MarvelBeasty) reported
@Richard66629722 @florencerounda2 You can cancel the sky TV service if you want and it becomes a Freeview TV. Or you could plug in another cable service if you want. Just won’t have the same voice controls. But the voice control annoys me anyway as it is so buggy.

Chris Weir 💙 🇪🇺🇬🇧 #SackPritiPatel (@ChrisWeir5) reported
@Otto_English @fascinatorfun It's only gone because of the EU ban. That meant the feed to the satellite (from which Freeview take the service) was shut down.
