  • MichaelLeeLewi4 Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported from Aberdare, Wales

@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper

  • KAK_Tweets Krys Cross! Cha Cha Real Smooth (@KAK_Tweets) reported from Treorchy, Wales

@flickeringflxme I’ve never seen that one myself but somehow my granddad ended up buying it for himself which was made weirder by the fact he only had freeview so didn’t even have Disney Channel. He loved it though

  • dave_maydew Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported from Tonyrefail, Wales

@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app

I'm not a materialistic person. Got my cream liqueur, got Devil Wears Prada on Freeview (why pay for TV when it's free?!) a roof over my head and the heating on. That is far far greater than many have or will have. Will never understand folks who need the best of the best.

  • coulson3000 Hank Moody (@coulson3000) reported from Kensington, England

I will never have normal freeview tv

  • HJMovingFarAway HJHeadingFarAway (@HJMovingFarAway) reported

Progress so far: washer is on, I'm working my way through a box of biscuits, finding all the concerts on Sky Arts Freeview & have loaded up instructions for my Miops that came 2 weeks ago (according to Amazon). Gonna be a slow-burner, but I'm getting there. Staying up till 8am.

  • james_chip_rpg Festive Cheer Tosspot (@james_chip_rpg) reported

@BlckCatBlckSky Yeah, I forgot that’s what Americans call it. We definitely have it but people just call it tv. To be honest since the digital change over most people call it freeview which is the service.

@Carti_Mandua @MontyGeoff You should cancel your licence, everything on freeview is available by on demand. Save yourself £156 a year 🙃

  • FactsStomp Phil's Retro Life #retro (@FactsStomp) reported

@GreenT128 @BBCOne Sorry, I forgot to add: I know exactly what you mean about the weird and stupid settings on TVs. Out of the box my TV had all the picture and sound 'enhancing' crap turned on, 10 minutes later it was all off and even low quality SD Freeview looked perfectly acceptable.

  • wiganshale john shale (@wiganshale) reported

@virginmedia @Ofcom just to let you know that tivo is still freezing up, whilst my wife is watching it and that your only solution is to turn it off and on is not an appropriate response. take the tivo away and deduct from my bundle and I'll get a Freeview box.

  • TonyMoretta Tony Moretta (@TonyMoretta) reported

@Deano230 @AlStewartOBE It could have developed with FTA broadcasters as Freeview later did. Other problem is it never recovered financially from Sky switching to free box offer.

  • MellyStark Melly Christmas (@MellyStark) reported

dodgy freeview signal, torrential rain, blowing a gale outside ... #StormBella hope the roof stays on - it sounds wild out -cant see as the streetlight stopped working last weekend. #Pembrokeshire

  • twiitterrer The Hon. Padre de Bobby (@twiitterrer) reported

@salt_veins Instal FreeView on your phone so you can watch tele on it & some well fitting earphones plugged in to block out ALL the noise as hospitals are just SOOO NOISEY & problem solved. If the earphones fit snug, then it doesn't need to be loud. That's what I did. Hospital had free wifi.
